The Walter Kerr Theatre Marquee

This beautifully aged theatre marquee on the historic Walter Kerr Broadway theater displays many of the W.F. Norman Corp. stamped moldings and ornaments. Even though the egg & dart molding at the center was damaged by a truck, we were able to send replacement pieces to complete the repair.

The Broadway theater was designed by Herbert J. Krapp for the Shubert family and operated as the Ritz Theatre from 1921 until 1990 when it was renamed the Walter Kerr Theater. Walter Kerr was a renowned New York playwright and theatre critic whose influence and importance was such that the old Ritz Theater on West 48th Street was renamed in his honor.
