Product Information
Cornices can be used with field panels to complete a ceiling design, or by itself as a cove molding. This cornice is not sold with mitres, but corners can be easily joined using a cope or mitre joint.
Metals
Our standard metal for cornices is tinplate. Tinplate is steel that is coated on both sides with tin in order to offer some protection from rust. Please inquire about special ordering stamped ceilings in copper, brass, zinc and galvanized metal. Copper and brass may be ordered as either raw or cleaned, polished and clear-coated. Galvanized metal is a sheet of steel coated on both sides with zinc. We stamp galvanized as either “Dull” or “Shiny” with the “Dull” being easier to paint.
