Nevada, MO - January 31, 2025 - W.F. Norman Corporation, a renowned manufacturer of tin ceilings and ornamental sheet metal products, today announced a change in ownership. The company has been acquired by long-time employee Jason Fleener and his wife Tammy, marking the end of the Quitno family's 47-year stewardship.
Founded in 1898 by William Franklin Norman, W.F. Norman Corporation has been a cornerstone of Nevada, Missouri for over 125 years. The company pioneered steel ceiling manufacturing in the West, becoming one of the most successful businesses in tin ceiling production. In 1978, Robert Quitno purchased the company from W.F. Norman's grandson, Franklin Norman, breathing new life into the historic enterprise.
Under the Quitno family's leadership, the W.F. Norman Corporation revived the production of tin ceilings using original dies from 1898. They helped restore numerous historical landmarks and revitalize the ornamental pressed metal industry. The company has maintained its commitment to traditional manufacturing methods, operating machines as old as the company itself to ensure superior quality control.
Jason Fleener, the new owner, is deeply rooted in the local community. Born and raised in Nevada, MO, Jason has lived his entire life in Vernon County. He joined W.F. Norman Corporation in November 2003 and has been an integral part of the company for over two decades.
"I am honored to take the helm of this historic company," said Jason Fleener. "My family and I are committed to preserving the originality and craftsmanship that have made W.F. Norman Corporation a leader in its field. We look forward to involving our sons, Cole and Cody, as they grow up, ensuring that this legacy continues for generations to come."
The Fleeners extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Quitno family for their dedication to the company, its employees, and the community over the past 47 years. Their stewardship has been instrumental in maintaining W.F. Norman Corporation's position as a premier manufacturer of ornamental sheet metal products.
As W.F. Norman Corporation enters this new chapter, it remains committed to its heritage of quality and craftsmanship. The company will continue to operate from its historic factory in Nevada, Missouri, producing its renowned Hi-Art® product line, which includes 140 steel ceiling design components and over 1,300 ornaments.
